While watching the cherubs ski today, I made a quick list in my head of the always and the new things on the slopes.
ON THE SLOPES
There is always:
that one guy in shorts
those kids that could outski any adult
overpriced ($4) french fries at the snack bar
the perfect little ski bunny girls
a cool ski crew with matching jackets
that one cute guy on the cool ski crew
that one party girl on the ski crew they all gauk over
readers in the lodge
tantrums by cold toddlers
sun, rain, snow (sometimes all three)
a way to make a new friend easily (happy place)
fresh air
matching outfits- dressed to the hilts
non-matching outfits- just out to have fun
crazy hats
ice patches
groups of kids giggling
new things to me:
conveyor belt 'lift' (took place of t-bar)
kids checking in with their parents on cell phones
knitters in lodge
laptops-ers in lodge
skinny ski jackets (no more puffy)
- In (Not So) Perfect Balance
- Our life is full of wonderful, chaotic, blessed, hysterical, insane, magical, sad, scary, sweet, mind boggling, moments. While balancing life with 3 cherubs, parents, sisters, BIL, In-laws, 1 teaching career, and many good friends; I find that our life is moving far toooo fast. It is important to cherish and record the moments as we consistently try to balance our scale (God forbid I make a photo album)! MB
